BRUNCH CLUB

UES Girls Brunch Club brings together a small group of locals in an intimate setting to enjoy each other’s company over a social experience. Such small gatherings allow for meaningful conversation and provide the opportunity for real connection.

Venues will always be located on the Upper East Side in New York City. Once you sign up, you are a member and have entered the Brunch Club *lottery.* This means that your invitation to join a group is selected at random, based on what the experience is (meal or happy hour) and your indicated preference(s). Once chosen, you will be notified via text message with pertinent details. Can’t make it? No problem! You’ll resume your spot in the lottery, and will be kept in the loop for future events.

Note: Participants are responsible for covering the cost of their meal and/or beverages.

I joined the Club! Now what?

Welcome! You will be contacted to join us for a meal (brunch, dinner, or happy hour — Ambassador’s choice) at a predetermined date and time, and you let us know if you can make it!

Due to the intimate nature of Brunch Club, we take your RSVP very seriously. As such, upon your verbal commitment to a meal, we will request a deposit (via Venmo, PayPal or Zelle) to secure your spot. Can’t make it after all? We totally understand life happens! You will have a 48 hour grace period ahead of the meal date to cancel for a full refund of your deposit. Canceling within 48 hours of the meal date? You lose your deposit, and it will go towards the group’s total bill.

Why do I have to make a deposit to reserve my spot?

It’s an insurance policy! We have found that, unfortunately, without a monetary commitment it’s too easy to bail. And… WE GET IT! But Brunch Club was designed for those who are serious about wanting to meet new people. We love supporting small businesses and working with local establishments, and we want to respect our community’s efforts in facilitating these opportunities. Our hope is that requiring a deposit will ensure that those who really want to join us, can.

How much is the deposit?

BRUNCH/HAPPY HOUR: $25
DINNER: $45

Note that your deposit will go towards your experience, and is not an additional charge.

I’m uncomfortable with the idea of the deposit with my RSVP. Is there a workaround where I can still participate?

Unfortunately not. Our program is probably not the one for you if this idea makes you uncomfortable — and that’s okay!

Is there a mailing list I can join?

Not quite! Be sure to keep an eye on @uesgirls Instagram stories to keep up with the latest news, offerings and programming.

Love the idea of meeting new people but I’m shy. Can a friend join me for the first one?

The beauty of Brunch Club is that everyone is meeting new people! And, because Brunch Club is lottery based, we cannot accommodate this type of request. So sorry! But we promise you’re going to have a great time and walk away with at least one new friend — just you wait and see!

UES GIRLS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

Are you a fit?

Seeking Upper East Siders who are motivated, responsible and love the idea of building and adding to their community in a fun, social way.

We are looking for eager ‘team’ leaders to spearhead, coordinate and facilitate intimate brunches or dinners with small groups of Upper East Siders. It’s a great opportunity to expand your own social network!

NOTE: Ambassadorship is voluntary and at-will, and not a paid opportunity.

Our Ideal Ambassadors Will:

  • Organize group meals at restaurants and communicate these plans via email with a randomly selected group of 6-10 members a minimum of once per month.

  • Be proactive and responsible; your Brunch Club groups (which will rotate each month) should know exactly when and where their meals are taking place, with ample time to add to their calendar.

  • Be willing to collect a digital deposit from each committed attendee (via your personal Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc.). This deposit protects the ambassador and group as a whole, acting as non-refundable insurance should an attendee cancel less than 48 hours prior to the meal. The collective deposit will be applied to the total cost of the group’s meal.

  • Be an enthusiastic ambassador of the Upper East Side and truly believe in the importance of community.

AMBASSADOR FAQs

Am I responsible for selecting the restaurants?

Sure are! You are coordinating meals as you would for your group of friends, only you are doing so for a group of neighbors you’ve likely never met. You are free to select any establishment on the Upper East Side to host your meal!

I’d like to be a one-time ambassador, is that possible?

We are looking for ambassadors who have the desire to be ‘full-time’ representatives, which means coordinating a group meal at a local restaurant once a month.

Are there any ambassador perks?

Ambassadors will be working closely with me, Julie / Founder @uesgirls, and kept in the loop on all programming and collaborations. You will truly feel like you are part of a greater mission… and will have the opportunity to expand your social network on your own timeline!
